C. Servilius M.f, 136 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 4.07 g, 6 h), Rome. ROMA Head of Roma to right, wearing crested and winged helmet; behind, wreath and star (mark of value). Rev. [C•SERVEILI•M•F] The Dioscuri on horseback rearing in opposing directions, heads facing one another, each holding couched spear; above, stars. Babelon (Servilia) 1. Crawford 239/1. RBW 984. Sydenham 525. Lustrous, fresh and attractive. Struck on a slightly short flan and with minor edge splits, otherwise, good extremely fine.
